On 15 September 2021 the PTGui End User License Agreement will change. In summary, the following will change:
- A personal license purchased from 15 September 2021 onwards can be activated for personal use on 2 computers simultaneously. This used to be 3 computers. Activation is not permanent: deactivation and re-activation on another computer will remain possible.
Current personal licenses are not affected: if you purchased a personal license before 15 September 2021, activation on 3 computers will remain possible. Also, upgrades of licenses purchased before 15 September 2021 will not be affected for now: if your license was purchased in 2017 and you upgrade to PTGui 12, the upgraded license can still be activated on 3 computers. This is not a perpetual guarantee though, upgrade policies may change in the future.
- From 15 September 2021 we will no longer offer a 30 day money back guarantee. A free, almost fully functional and non time limited trial version of PTGui is available. We think this offers ample opportunity to evaluate PTGui before purchasing a license.
- Clarified that, in certain circumstances, deactivating a computer may take up to 24 hours. In practise, deactivation from within the PTGui application will usually happen instantly. But requests for remotely deactivating a license may incur a delay due to manual processing.
- Until now the company license was issued in the form of multiple license keys, 1 per seat. Having a single license key for multiple seats may be convenient. The wording of the EULA was changed to make this a possibility in the future.
