Grand Prismatic Spring

This partial panorama image is Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone National Park. The color is made by bacteria of different kinds living in different micro-ecosystems of the hot pool. I hiked to the top of a nearby hill (trail-less) to get this photo. Normally this is photographed from the air. Unfortunately, trees from the 1988 fire were in the way.
