Plugins

PTGui features a plugin menu from which third party applications can be launched. Currently two applications are supported by PTGui:

Enblend

Enblend is a multi band blending application for panoramic images.

Enblend is open source software, written by Andrew Mihal. More information is available at the Enblend homepage.

Windows installation
To install Enblend as a plugin in PTGui, download the file enblend-enfuse-xx.xx-win32.zip and extract the contents to a folder on your computer. In PTGui, go to Tools / Options / Plugins. Click the Browse button next to the 'Enblend application' box and browse to the enblend.exe file which you just downloaded.

Mac installation
For Mac download the file enblend-enfuse-xx.yy-mac.tar.gz and extract the contents to your computer. In PTGui, go to Preferences, Plugins tab. At 'Enblend application' point to the 'enblend' executable from the archive.

To use Enblend, choose 'Blend using: Enblend plugin' on the Create Panorama tab in PTGui. This setting is only visible if PTGui is set to Advanced mode (by pressing the Advanced button on the Project Assistant tab).

Smartblend

Smartblend is also a blending application, similar to Enblend and the PTGui Blender. But Smartblend is different in that it tries to place the seams such that they are least noticeable. This gives better results for panoramas suffering from parallax problems.

Smartblend is written by Michael Norel and can be downloaded here.

To install Smartblend as a plugin in PTGui, download and save the windows executable (smartblend.exe) and the accompanying .dll files into a folder of your choice on your computer. In PTGui, go to Tools / Options / Plugins. Press the Browse button next to the Smartblend application box and point it to the smartblend.exe executable.

To use Smartblend, choose 'Blend using: Smartblend plugin' on the Create Panorama tab in PTGui. This setting is only visible if PTGui is set to Advanced mode (by pressing the Advanced button on the Project Assistant tab).

The Smartblend plugin is available for Windows only.

Obsolete plugins

Prior to PTGui 5 (which was released in 2005), when PTGui did not include a control point generator yet, control points could be generated using Alexandre Jenny's Autopano control point generator. Using this plugin is no longer supported but the option is still included in PTGui for backwards compatibility.

Support

All plugins are written by third party developers, therefore we cannot provide any support. If you experience any problems we can only recommend to use the functionality built into PTGui instead.
